Day Four : Arriving in Paris

Taking the Eurostar train from London to Paris.
Journey time : 2 hours 15 minutes. FAST!!!Arriving in Gare Du Nord train station in Montmarte, Paris, France.
The famous Moulin Rouge... where lots of men queue up each night to watch razzle dazzle girls in nothing but feather and pearls!

Having come to Paris on a Sunday, I didn't realize that most shops will be closed.
So I took a lonesome walk on empty streets.
It was so empty, I decided to find some life.
Where do you find life on a sleepy day?
At the cemetery!
Where the dead lay in eternal rest.
This is one of Paris' two famous cemeteries... quite some famous people are buried here. And the mausoleums here are a sight to behold!

Paying respects to the famous author, Alexander Dumas. Two of his novels, The Three Musketeers and The Man in The Iron Mask are among my favourite romantic adventures, when growing up.Continuing my walk around the city, I saw buildings of the last last centuries.
Any wonder why there are so many artists who love to paint Paris?
Just look at the colour of the clouds.
Met up with Celine for dinner. Sat next to her on the Eurostar earlier. She gave some great hints on where to see the best sights in the city. Plus, having a French girl to help you order dinner is a GREAT way to start a holiday.
